Tangy Key Lime Tarts

 
Ingredients 
18 3" frozen tart shells 18
1 pkg (7.5 oz) Dr. Oetker Key Lime Pie Filling 1 pkg (212g)
2 Eggs 2
1 1/2 tsp Grated lemon rind 7.5 mL
1 tbsp Lemon juice 15 mL
Whipped topping
Lemon or Lime slices

  1. Thaw and bake tart shells according to package directions.  Cool.
  2. Cook Dr. Oetker Key Lime Pie Filling according to package directions using 2 whole eggs.
  3. Remove from heat, add lemon rind and juice.  Cool  minutes.
  4. Spoon into tart shells.  Refrigerate until set.
  5. At serving time, garnish with whipped topping and lemon or lime slices.

Makes 18 tarts.

Variation:  Prepared filling may also be poured into a baked 9" (23 cm) pie shell.
